Head2Head Christopher pits Cluster‘s edgy, thumpy, icy arrangement of Depeche Mode’s “Enjoy the Silence” against Sonos‘ moody, dark, and ethereal version.  Can he possibly pick a winner between two of his favorite groups?

Young & Original Dave loves Brandeis Voicemale‘s original tune “Time (Bring It On)” almost as much as the CARA nominators and Sing Six selection committee.

Another great episode. Speaking of Kurt Elling, have you seen Kurt Elling and Al Jarreau sing Take Five? Wow! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=03KsxLACwfM

Your Head-to-Head inspired me to listen to “Violator”…at first to hear the original again and then because I forgot how much I liked that album! Thanks for that.

On that Head-to-Head, the song is about tactile senses (SEX) being superior to words. Sonos version delves into that sexiness and pathos and that fits the message of the song better to my tastes, while I find the Cluster version, ironically, “wordy” feeling.
