Wow, an hour long show! Now that’s a lot of steak… *grin*

I was thinking about your food analogies and the two versions of “Where’s The Love”, and this is what I came up with: Voicemale gave Tat Tong a big bowl of strawberries, and he gave them back strawberry shortcake. I think it was right of them to include both, because sometimes you don’t want shortcake, you just want a dish of strawberries in their clean honest goodness. With a little Clark sugar or whipped cream. And without strawberries you can’t make strawberry shortcake.

Or maybe, to bring back your food analogy of choice, it’s all beefcake.

They did list it as such in the liner notes. I’m the one who called it an original. I like what they did with it, so I just felt like over-touting it.

With all due respect (and much Brandeisian love) to VoiceMale’s overall accomplishment here, is it fair to call “Time (Bring It On)” an “original” without the obvious caveat that the everything except the lead vocal is Seal’s “Bring It On”? (It’s still an impressive layering of original material over a “sample”, of course.)

I had no idea that “As You Go” was an original song! I never had the liner notes to the album, so I always assumed it was a Muse cover or something. WOW my mind is even more blown.

I’d just like to say thank you to Mr. Yin and Mr. Yang for an extremely not terrible review that did not make me want to vomit all over my floor.

But in all seriousness, I and the rest of VM past and present truly appreciate the intelligence and candor with which you approached our album. We are very proud to hear that two of the biggest aca-nerds in the business think the album is great, and even CARA worthy!

Hope SoJam was great for both of you, and I look forward to hearing the wrap-up next weekend.
